If you guys could see how indepth the MGS story line goes, and EVERYTHING behind the game, you would bow down to hideo, there is a crap load of secret things and references in the game. Yout hink the characters are talking about 1 thing, but they are totally talking about a different thing. Especially MGS2.

You don't get to see how Solid Snake comes to be in MGS3, you just get to see how Naked Snake becomes Big Boss.

And if you find MGS 2 and 3 to be too easy, play on hard, extreme, and europeon extreme, stop playing on easy and very easy!

Every MGS game can be beaten in one sitting as long as you dedicate yourself to the game and work quickly.

Since MGS4 is probably going to be the last MGS, I say Hideo remakes Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake in a PS3 form so that all of the games are in great detail and up to date instead of in 8-bit graphics.

lmao I beat all of them in one sitting my first time around... MGS 2 was the fastest, MGS 1 was long because it was complicated, and MGS 3 had a pretty long story.

by the way did any of you know they make MGS comic books? I bought the first one but never got around to getting anymore, they are cool and are drawn very nice. They are a little short though.

I only played Metal Gears 2 & 3 but out of the 2 I'd have two go with Snake Eater. It had a better story line and I liked the action in the cut scenes and the different camo's you could use. I liked that it went back to the story of how Big-Boss came to be (the lady big-boss kicked ***). Raiden was a bit of a b*tch character. They could have done so much more with his character (like not giving him such a whiny voice) when they started to reveal his dark past but they blew it. On the upside though, in the MSG 4 trailer he's turned into a real bad a** by becoming the new ninja (ninja is one of the best characters IMO). The part where he takes down two of those mech's (mini metal gears I assume) was crazy. I guess that means they might kill him off because the ninja dies in all of them. Can't wait 'til it comes out. By the way does anyone think that thay are going to go anywhere with Snake trying to save Olga Gurlukovich's kid from MSG 2? Maybe they'll have her in the 4th installment.

Ok time to add my two cents, I absolutly love playing MGS: Subsistance, Kojima totally made it great with the addition of the new camera and MGS 1&2 (The Origenal MSX versions) and Online play. I liked playing MGS: Sons of Liberty but the storyline was to f***ed up for me, and the fact that it just got plain down right creepy at the end of it. MGS: Twin Snakes was a great remake but the addition of the first person view made it a tad easy, but I still like the game and favor it over MGS: SoL. As for the MGA I think they are ok but the card based strategy is IMO meh. The games are great especially MGA2's Solid Snake viewer 3D type play, and the bonus clips of the pretty ladies (Hehe).

In the secret demo theater in MGS: Subsistance there is a clip "Metal Gear Raiden" Where Raiden goes back in time to try and assinate Big Boss but fails miserably(sp?) and at the end of the clip the doctor chick from MGS: SoL (Raiden's girlfriend?) comes in hinting that he won't get the role in MGS4 but saying "There will always be a number 5 right?" Kojima hinted about a possible MGS5 but no definite proof

As for the PSP Kojima, during E3 announced MGS: Portable Ops which is nothing like MGA and is going to be like MGS3 style (That's what I'm thinking, if not correct Google the game title)

And a stunner that Nintendo showed off during E3 was in their SSBB (Super Smash Bros Brawl) preveiw where Snake (Solid Snake) is going to be a playable character

So you see ladies and gentlemen, the MGS franchise is far from being dead and swept under the doormat.

He's right, this isn't like final fantasy where it is always a new story with new gameplay and totally new characters... You can't just keep it going or the story will die out and become something it isn't... All good things msut come to an end. Snake's gotta die =*( ...And I gotta cry =*(

Snake should die after MGS4, if not from combat or him killing himself, then the FOXDIE that is coursing throughout his body will get him. He does not have much longer to live.

The only way they could keep going with Metal Gear is if Liquid Ocelot lives and Raiden has to finish him off or if Hideo makes a game that takes place in between two previous games or just remakes Metal Gear 1 and 2.

Where you talking to me, because I beat mgs2 on every mode a ton of times, and I got every dog tag. On extreme, I am on my 8th time through. On MGS3, I beat european extreme 3 times so far.
