Best MGS

I like all, I think that MGS2 is the greatest even if Raiden is in it. I wish that they would write a thorough explanation of all the storylines so far. :/ Maybe I'll get bored and do it.

Personally I like MGS1 the most, but due to lack of Decent graphics it comes 2nd for me, MGS3 1st and MGS2 last. I don't know why but MGS2 is pretty crap IMO, I started to lose interest at the end where things got stupid. MGS3 is so much better, it includes a real sniper battle that is challenging unlike sniper wolf from the 1st game. Although I didn't rate MGS1 as number 1 that game will always be the best, the start of the MGS franchise and probably the best playstation game ever made.

It started the MGS franchise but was not the actual start of the Metal Gear series in general. The story really starts back from Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the NES platform.

Metal Gear Solid. BEST storyline. Solid Snake looks cool, he doesn't have the gay mullet. Metal Gear Rex is awesome. Shadow Moses was so damn cool. Ninja is sweet. Psycho Mantis + Vulcan Raven + Ocelot + Sniper Wolf = Best boss fights ever. Alternate endings(So its not a beat it once, never play again) game. Introduces Codec. Raiden sounds so gay. I would have said MGS2 if you would have played with Snake, but I don't like Raiden. And MGS2 was so easy, 1 was alot harder.

Hate to break it to you but Snake definately had the mullet in Metal Gear Solid, it just wasen't as long and formed as it is in other MGS games. The mullet is trademark with Snake and he makes it look good.

I completely forgot about that game, weren't there other ones as well? I think one of them is called Zanzibar Island. Guess I'll have to look it up.

Personally I thought the mullet was pretty badass. Raiden's was gay though =p

Glad to see that someone said what I would have said, if I had read this sooner than I have.

My vote went to MGS3... with Subsistence being the best "version" of that game (MGS3).

(Plus, Subsistence allows you to play the original two Metal Gear games. It rocks!)

Nope. There's only Metal Gear, Metal Gear: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (A whole game full of just VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (Remake of MGS), Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (Remake of of MGS2), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance, and soon there will be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

That should be all of the different Metal Gear (Solid) games avaiable from my knowledge.

Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2 for PSP, and there were japanese MGS games for gameboy, never released in USA. (I'm pretty sure)
