South Park or Family Guy?

I wish the sausage swallower who made this thread had an option that said, "Both". I can't choose between them, I've been watching South Park since it came out, and the same with Family Guy. I don't really compare them though.

It depends what mood I'm in, I find myself watching Family Guy more often and just yesterday bought the 1 & 2nd seasons on UMD. If I had to choose, it would be Family Guy

I definitally(sp?) prefer South Park to Family Guy,
South Park's crude humor is what put it ahead of Family Guy in my books. In the new episodes of south park, they don't look so much as paper as they used to. My all time favourite episode is the one where every one keeps on saying the word "****" and once it gets to 150 times (which is about 3/4 into the episode) this alien appears and i can't remember the rest. I only remember when there is a scene in the bar and Mr. Garrison says faggit and gets censored then he says to everyone that straight guys get censored when they say faggit. The Jimbo says thats stupid why would you get censored for being straight and saying faggi. The part about that is the fact that Jimbo is the only one who dosen't get censored.

Family Guy is better, the grahics/drawings are better and also the voices arent as annoying. South Park tends to go over the top with crap. Family Guy is obviously alot more modern and Stewie just makes it 10 times better than any other thing of its kind. BURN IN HELL!!

Yes the Matt and Trey made the first episode and only the first episode with construction paper because they were so poor. It took them 8 months to make the episode and they swore they would never do it again. The computer sofware for animation they use is very high tech and has been used in countless movies, but they like having the characters look crappy, because its funnier. Besides all these shows like Simpsons, Family Guy take 8 months to make one episode because they spend months writing each episode and then send the story to Korea to get animated. South Park takes one week to make an episode, they write the story, animate it, and do the voice overs all at once. They usually finish like 7 hours before the episode airs. So you have to give these guys some credit for doing what they do.

While I agree with DeBOG that Matt and Trey certainly deserve props for how and how quickly South Park episodes are made, I don't like it as much as Family Guy. South Park just doesn't make me laugh as much. As a Christian, I usually feel offended at the end of a South Park episode. I'm all for making fun of religion when it gets over the top, but having Jesus crap all over the US flag and Bush? I'm sorry, but that's not funny and in my opinion, it crosses a line.

Yeah that was pretty overdone, but that was exactly what they were trying to get across. Comedy Central wouldnt pull an image of Jesus crapping all over the Flag and Bush but they pulled a clip of Muhamad just standing there because they were scared, even though they didnt years ago when Muhamad was in the whole show.

South Park.... No contest.

It has more variety in their episodes, and not to mention more of them.
And also it's good because they make fun of a celebrity in almost every episode.

Family Guy is the stupidest show I've ever seen. How anyone finds those dry jokes amusing is beyond me. South Park owns Family Guy. FG SUXXX
