| I would be shocked if the PSP Go will double as a phone, there was certainly no indication of it at E3. Besides, not enough people like the PSP to buy a PSP phone. The Go is all about converting people from DS to PSP. Then, if it works, the chances rise slightly of a phone.
But this has raised an interesting thought in my mind. Microsoft has yet to release a handheld game platform, but it could be a great project for them if they aren't working on one. It would be especially if it had cellular capabilities, it would put additional pressure on Sony and Nintendo in the gaming arena, and take phone sales away from its OS competitor, Apple. I doubt such an announcement would be made within the next few years, but it's still fun to think about. |
