Apparently Sony made a deal with Atari to help produce and distribute the game, which apparently means that it will at the very least be a time exclusive to Sony's platforms (PS3/PSP/PS2).
It really doesn't look all that bad. If it was multi player or something i think it would be really fun. I know a certain mod that has had their eye on this one. Might give them a reason to use their ps3.

now lets just sit back and see how it sells with the timed exclusive. I wanted this game but for multiplayer reasons will have to pass on the ps3 edition.

I have a 360 and a PS3, so it doesn't bother me that much. I was going to get it on 360 myself, but I don't mind getting it on PS3 really. It's a bit of a pisser to do this right at the last minute though, I know a lot of 360 owners were looking forward to it, and if the Sony exclusivity carries it over into the Christmas period, the 360 version could quite easily get lost amongst bigger and better titles. I'm still quite looking forward to it, but I'll wait for reviews as I could quite easily imagine it being a steaming great turd. I really, really hope it isn't though.

Any truth to the rumor that I heard today while up at Gamestop that as of a day or two ago, this game is strictly a PS3 exclusive? Rumor has it that Sony scooped up the publishing rights for the game, according to the store manager.
Once again... glad I have both consoles to choose from. I just feel bad for those who only own a 360, if this turns out to be 100% accurate.

Sony gained publishing right for Ghostbusters in PAL territories. The PS3 and 360 version will be released on the regular release date in the US simultaneously. However, the PS3 version will be a timed exclusive in PAL regions.

Obviously, I have read the entire thread... since what I said the other day must have been lost in translation, I was saying that the latest rumor I heard (yesterday afternoon) is that it's going to be 100% exclusive to the PS3.
Glad I own a ps3! I am beyond excited for this game.
I bought the Real Ghostbusters on DVD last week to hold me over until the game's release. Remember that cartoon? It used to be my favorite and this game has given me the perfect reason to re-watch this show. The special features are great too! by the time I get through them all, this game will be out! unless it's delayed again..
