How could you say it is biased and fanboy propaganda.
Because it implies something that isn't true or is yet to be determined. Maybe your definition of certain words is different from everybody else's. The article was in no way a news story. It's opinion. And misguided opinion at that. The author compared apples to oranges so that people like you who don't understand the numbers that the author spews and how they relate will think that the 360 is the be-all/end-all of consoles. Welcome to reality.
What happened to the new generation controlers? The ones that looked really weird. All the ones I have seen for sale have the same style as the PS2. I actually like that myself. The new ones they had in development looked weird.

The "new generation controllers" (Dualshock 3) were scrapped due to a lot of bad press. They were replaced by the Sixaxis.
Teknic, thanks for clearing that up.
For me, I had the Ps3 in my room for half an hour in the horizontal position. It over heated 3 times, even with a fan. But once i popped a DVD in it, didn't do it again (Cell shuts down all but one SPE during DVD playback). Moved it into family room (we got a new bravia TV.... yeah frigging expensive Xmas for my house), stood it upright, ran for 12 hours pretty much straight and never overheated once. This is original release.
Just a heads up. Also, if it overheats it will make a beeping sound and shut itself down. The power light will flash red over and over.
i dk, i think the system is just too expensive for what it has to offer as far as games go at the moment. the nintendo Wii is proving to be a great system though.

Like I said in another thread earlier today, you cannot base weather your getting a system on the games that it is offering upon release. The 360 took a few months to have game creators take full advantage of what the system has to offer. It will be the same for the PS3.
Why would anyone pay the extra money to watch a bluray movie on sdtv? Just grab the regular dvd and you'd have exactly the same thing. The limitation to dvds is based on your tv itself. Granted high def dvds look better on hdtv, but regular dvds look better on hdtv vs sdtv also.

Well, Einstein, maybe it's because he already has a PS3? Think about it. Yeah, he only has an SDTV today, but in the future he'll likely have an HDTV. So why not buy the HD videos today?
Even though you don't need an HDTV to watch Bluray movies, it's definitely worth it to get an HDTV so you can enjoy the full effect of Bluray. It's awesome. I guess you can get a Bluray disc so if you get an HDTV in the future, you can use it. Nowadays, LCD and Plasma HDTVs are very reasonable, especially during this christmas time. If you really look, and you just want a 720p/1080i, you can get a Plasma for even cheaper, although I would pay a little extra to get an LCD. You can get a 42" LCD with 1080p at some places for around one thousand. Good luck.
