I say playstation 2, I'm going by hours played. But I am enjoying my ps3 but ps2 had soooo many games that were amazing.

In no particular order...

1. Atari 2600
2. ColecoVision
3. Sega Genesis
4. Sega Dreamcast
5. Nintendo NES/SNES/N64... it's a tie, in my world!

Atari 2600: I don't think I had a clue of what is was when my parents brought it home, back when a VCR weighed 250 LBS. But it made me addicted to Video Games forever.
Favorite Game: Kaboom

NES: Was told I would be kept out sick from school for a month and I needed something to do. The Legend of Zelda couldn't have come at a better time.
Favorite Game: Legend of Zelda / Metroid

Sega Genesis: After palying the games on this I said " I won't ever get any better than this Man ! " This console was used during my Pshychedelic years
Favorite Game: Altered Beast

Playstation 2: The longest I've ever owned one particular console. I played all sorts of great games until I got turned onto SOCOM 2
Favorite Game: Socom 2

XBOX 360: Plagued with problems but delivers on the goods. Que Zero

Favorite Game: I don't think it's come out yet

Nun-Puncher that was good detailed explanations... But I still have to say playstation 2 was number 1 then Nintendo. Atari was cool and all but I dont think it was better then playing tick-tack-toe on paper. All your other choices I agree with though

Yeah but this has to do with personal favorite consoles not exactly the best.
And when I was 5 years old in 1977 (?) and my creators brought home the Atari 1600 it was a big deal. Probably as big a deal as when my they got their very first refridgerator.
