Dreamcast discussion
Is there a Dreamcast thread? I didn't see one when I searched.
You guys remember it? It owned I didn't have one but I knew someone who did. Back then the graphics on the Dreamcast were like what PS3 graphics are today.

Reason: Dreamcast is ONE word... not two.

Was there only a white Dreamcast? Hmmm.
Sega should've rebounded with another console, but meh. Only reason I got one was for WWF Attitude.

I bought my Dreamcast 9/9/1999, and I must say it was one of the greatest video game launches in history. Sega kept releasing great games to no avail, though, and had to bring the system to a halt.
The system had it all, good RPGs, awesome fighting games, and the return of Sonic. It made the N64 library look like a joke in the matter of a month. I mean, for fighting games it was the first system to have Soul Calibre for a long time, Virtual Fighter 3TB, Dead or Alive, tons of Marvel vs. Capcom type games, Power Stone series, etc.
Great RPGs like Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia. The Sonic Adventure games were a blast and the graphics were amazing. Even the straight up beat-em-ups like Berserk went above and beyond the call. It had plenty survival horror games like Code Veronica. Innovative racing games like Crazy Taxi and Jet Grind Radio.
Believe it or not, almost all of these games were exclusive to the system at the time. It was also the first console to allow users to connect to the internet. Considering its short lifespan, I do believe the Dreamcast is the greatest system of all time.

Same here. I loved the Dreamcast. Even though I gave it away to my little cousins, it was one of the best systems I have owned.
House of the Dead 2 with the 2 guns was unbelieveable.
Sonic was great.
Sports games had amazing graphics at the time.
Sega should of launched more games and it would be big but they made a mistake not doing so.
It was one of the best systems around.

I don't think I would go as far as calling it the "greatest console launches in history", as I think they had fewer games available at the Dreamcast's launch than any of the more recent console launches.
I bought my Dreamcast on the 9/9/99 launch date also, and I can honestly say that I, personally, wasn't completely blown away by the lineup of games available at its launch... I was more interested in the games that were coming soon to Sega's system - and the fact that it was the only system (at the time) to have a modem included inside of it.

FYI: I'm sure many people don't consider Jet Grind Radio to be a "racing" game... it's more like some kind of action/adventure/platform hybrid of a game. But to merely call it a "racing" game is a bit misleading...

I still own it on Xbox... I'll never get rid of that game. Now that I think of it, I still own Jet Set Radio for Dreamcast... even though my younger brother is "borrowing" my Dreamcast. Damn thing still works after all these years...

I keep my Dreamcast hooked up so I can rummage it's inexhaustable supply of fighting games. I love the fighting games on Dreamcast. They're my favorite of all time.

I love the direct arcade ports for it, its alot cheaper than a sega naomi motherboard + carts and looks and plays just as good.
