Why are new DC games being made?

10 new Dreamcast games on the way - Joystiq i mean look at that its not fair theres no new n64 games but new dreamcast, ps2, xbox 360, etc etc etc. i call for equal rights. besides dreamcast = crap theres no comic book games at all on it. just manga ones. which sucks if its not hentai which i like but dont read that its none of your business. who has a atari.

A private company is making the games. Not a big name company. Why do you worry about the N64 so damn much? It's obsolete.

And of course XBOX, PS2, PS3 and XBOX 360 games are still being made. Wanna know why? There's a demand for them. People still play games on those systems. Maybe if you write to the company making the Dreamcast games they will make some games for your precious N64, otherwise you're SOL.

And that claim on that website was made back in June? of 2006. Whether they went through with it, doesn't say.

I'd rather not know that you look at hentai....
Calling a game system bad because it doesn't have any of the game genre's you like isn't quite right either.

The Nintendo 64 is almost 11 years old, enough said about why they don't make those games. They still make PS2's and Xbox's even though the new systems are out, because not everyone buys the next generation within a year or two.

Actually there are still some 64 games coming out. They are all homebrew of course but they are happening. Infact, have you ever heard of Ben Heck? He specializes in making portable video game systems such as: sega genesis, SNES, NES and many more. He even made an xbox 360 laptop. but anyway, some of his friends or somthing are making a game were you play as Ben Heck, its called Grand Theft Portable... and yes, they are making it for nintendo 64. if you are interested go to The Official Site of Benjamin J Heckendorn and click on discuss games and tech in our forums, then click on grand theft portable and you can find out all you want to know. and if im not mistaken when they finish the game copies will be up for sale. Also, a new sega genesis game just came out recentaly... i believe it was an rpg. oh and i happen to love dreamcast, expecially the mods and homebrew games that come out for it.

There one new Xbox game coming out this year and that is also for the GC and PS2. Sony is still supporting the PS2 because the PS3 isn't doing to well as much as I like the PS3 I need to state the truth...The PS3 is sucking when it comes to sales.

Oh and to answer your question why DC games are still being made? because the DC owned back then and it still does. You can never get rid of a classic...its just not possible.

I'm guessing its due to the fact the dreamcast is so close spec wise to the sega naomi, and most of the new games are direct ports, but hey i could be wrong. The naomi is still alive, somewhat, so that may be the reason. Not to mention the dc was wildly popular in asia and alot of hardcore gamers still love the games that came out for it. Games like crazy taxi, bass fishing, 18 wheeler are direct arcade ports that never die ;)
