Beating Mario 64 in 20 Minutes

My friend told me about some person that beat Mario 64 in 20 minutes, and I immediately said "Not possible." I came home and googled it, and came across the video itself, "Beating Mario 64 in 20 Minutes." If you have some spare time, it gets a little crazy like the video says. The gamer had to do everything perfect to pull this off, and time/hit every single jump. Makes me remember the good old days of playing this great game. Well, here is the link:

I am pretty sure the current record is 16 minutes. I have a link to a vid that someone did in 18 minutes (was on youtube but it says the user took it off), and those even had the beginning of the game. This guy cheats and cuts to the part where he just entered the castle, that takes off like a minute or more off the actual game.

I know all the tricks and glitches that these people do, but I am obviously not as good as jumping around. But my best record is around 30 minutes.

i'm sure he was pissed when he missed some of the jumps at around 5 min. when he was trying to get into the window of Princess Peach. that was a good movie though.

Yah thanks. Was looking for that. He is a lot better at the jumps and he knows more of the tricks and glitches.

Yeah I tried playing a couple of minutes ago lol. Tryed doing some of the stuff he did. Like I would pause the video and try to do what he just did lol. I had no luck lol, but I could do some of the stuff.

Yah the jumping on some stuff is really hard. But some of the glitches are easy. Like ont he first level, taking the bomb and it explodes and pushes in you cage. Thats easy.

It took my so long to get the bunny part down. That door glitch with the bunny was just, a ***** lol

And near the end on the neverending stairs, how he flys up like that, that is actually pretty easy to do.

I watched it and was impressed.

Then I read up on the hosting site that all the videos they make are tool-assisted. They don't do the entire game in one run of sixteen minutes (they save and load after basically every scene), and they also use the techniques of slow motion and the like.

Still extremely impressive, but not as much as if it were done flawlessly in 16 minutes at full speed.
