It is a rumor about them remaking it, but I am 100% positive they will. It is to much of a money maker, there is no way they wont remake it. It will also increase the sales of the ps3, after people know it will be remade.

I trust EGM, and I don't think they would put something in the magazine that big if they were just trying to yank some chains. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm sure they will remake it, that was my first instict upon seeing that "tech demo", but I still like to wait for official word of it before I get my hopes up.

There has been a rumor that they would remake it about 2 years ago. And Dinosuar, when I bought my FF7 copy (I lost my first one) I just called up several game stores near my town and found one. Its not hard to find if you try. And its $30, you are correct. I will buy the remake solely because its the best of the series, its a must buy me thinks. That and I beat the game to a full 100% and its still appealing to me.

My second copy of FFVII costs $12.99 new I think. You got ripped

The other week I looked through that site I mentioned earlier. I went through the truth section and found a link to another site that explained two hidden stories behind the actual story which I found very interesting. It explains everything that happened to the Ancients (Cetra) when Jenova first came until the end. It's a bit long and they get rathered involved in numbers and their meaning. I talked to a couple stores in my area, and they said they don't have any copies, so the only way I could get it is if someone else sold it to them... Which doesn't happen too often.
I borrowed a copy from my friend for a while anyways... so I'll just play that. 
If you bought a new (sealed) copy of FVII for $13, you are a god and you ripped off whoever sold it to you. Sealed games like that go for hundreds:

Buy the strategy guide. It makes the game so much more fun. (Expecially on the 3rd disc) |
