Can U Get online without a router w/ a cable modem?

can u get online to play socom II without a router..but with a cable connection? i have a router..i'm good, my friend doesnt and now he wants to play..

There is no PS2 product that will allow that. You have to get a router...

I have logged online for a year or so with out a router..

all you have to do is a very, very tricky thing with the modem..

once it is hooked up to the ps2.....

YOU MUST unplug the Modem.......let it reset itself, and then once you turn it on, you should have no problem with goin on line..


the problem with going from you pc, disconnecting it, then hooking up your ps2 is the IP ADDRESS is still the same and set to go for your pc.. once you unplugg it, it will reset and you should be good.
