HELP! mic for s2 wont...

ok my mic works perfectly on socom 3 but not 2. i hear someone for a sec then it goes out... whats the deal? does anyone know what to do?

All it is is a great amount of lag, or it is that it is a coincidence and your mic is breaking. it is 1 of the 2.or people have their mute on in one game and not the other lol

Codester dont double post. Try unplugging your mic.

Sometimes with routers(depending on the type of router you have and your ISP) you need to open specific ports(on the router) for certain games. One way to check if your router is causing the problem is to plug in directly from modem to your PS2. Give it a try and post back with your findings.
It's interesting that you say the mic works with S3 and not S2, does anyone know if S3 no longer requires you to open ports? Or do you still have to? Or perhaps this guy is on crack? lol, j/k. :)
Another point here: if you are using a router, why not try using a switch instead? Thats what I use and all works great without having to deal with headaches of opening ports, especially if you're not very networking savy.

Lag should have nothing to do with it especially if you see other people talking and the icon shows as only 1 mic available.

ok...how do i open ports?? Also on s3 i cant play in rooms w/ 21 or more players...its some kind of lag i could kill the other team w/ my pistol and not be touched...people think im glitching. And it doesnt give me al my pionts like if i was 5-0 and this other guy was 4-3 he would get MVP. i think this could be a port thing.

go to ur router ip by typing it in ur URL (the place where u type website addresses). use ur router manual/or search net to find where to go. search for what ports to open up. i recommend u enable dmz instead.

REAd all the stuff b4 forwarding ports. it shows u how to enable dmz (which is what the author uses instead of port forwarding). dmz is better b/c u dont have to forward ports for every online game u play.
