"Download New Version" / patches/ ??!

i have been "updating" and downloading the new version of socom for like an hour now...

i save the setting to my memory card and then i try to log on, and it does it again. i'm wondering:

is something messed up or do i need to download like more than one patch, doing this multiple times?

it downloads the new version then says "x" to restard socom. i do, and then when i connect again, it does the same thing. i have no previous socom data on this card, so i am wondering.

make sure you have 3000kb of space on your memory card so it can safely reach your memory card w/o all that saving and downloading jazz

i believe there to be ample space, but it still does it. another thread suggesting clearing off all the socom files off the memory card, which i did, and its still doing "download patch" ****. any help?

haha, alright, now i got it to the point where it says unable to create patch archive or some ****...WTF! someone...someone...you HAVE to know! ! ! PLZ! i need socom fishhook like it was cocaine...

what my brother did(socom master) he deleted my file(socom 2 and 3) and redownloaded it and it worked. so i dont know try that. i spent like 30 minutes to 45 and he did it in like 2.. Younger kids:-/ ugggh I HATE EM!

I had a weird problem where no matter how much space I have in my mem card the patch will take all the space in it. I had 6,700kb free on my mem card and after I tried to update, the game freeze and my mem card was full after restart.

I tried download the patch from the International server instead of the North America one and it worked perfectly. The patch on the N. America server is probably corrupted for some reason. It sux cause I just deleted almost all my saves for nothing...
