Socom II is better than SOCOM 3 because it's not much long too wait a round, it is more fun with so much maps, the characters are very nice (especially the Terrorists), etc. Yes, around 5000 people get on S2 every night.
Socom II is sorta better in terms of fun. Socom III was fun for the first month or two...now i just hate it. To much stuff bugs me when I play it. Heres what I hate and what i like about socom III...
Pros
- Customizing your weapons is pretty cool
(yeah thats pretty much it...)
Cons
- Everyone uses a freaking silencer- its annoying
- You get to watch your last remaining teamate camp in a building or a bush
for like five minutes. Fun!
- Open maps (IE like all of them) are a sniper fest
- Camping is all over...
- Vehicles are annoying, if your sitting in a passenger seat your a free kill
- The bugs that Zipper never fixed are annoying
- The guns randomly not making noise while shooting
- When you tap a trigger it says you only shot one bullet but it sounds like
you shoot a burst
- All people do is play supression or demolition
- Demolition games can last up to a freaking hour +
and the list goes on and on, and on.
Im going back to socom 2. I only play socom 3 with my friend and we only play respawns anyway, when Zipper decides to fix the numerous bugs in the game i might come back.

socom III sucks. Rent it see if you like it, if you do buy it.
(I recomend to just wait for CA to come out)
