The number of people playing Socom 3 is not stumbling. In every game player numbers fall and rise and if a game's online play falls, it will eventually raise back up, especially if it's Socom.

No, the population of Socom 3 seriously has been falling steadily for some time now. S2 is fluctuating between 5-7 thousand, but I have most definitely noticed Socom 3's number fall. S1 still has between 100-300 people daily, which is really surprising. They made a horrible mistake with socom 3: They left out all the classic maps, and decided to forgo all old pastimes. They gave us totally new weapons, controls, systems, and many other things, with no place we reconized in order to get used to this. This totally erased all feelings from previous Socom's from many players. Some like this game better, some liked the old one better. Some players are in the middle and really don't like S3 but play it cause its the most updated version and they feel like they have to becuase old versions are inferior in their minds. It all depends on what your tastes are. I would say to rent both games first, because its all about what you feel is best and also since Socom 2 has changed dramatically after the release of Socom 3 as well.

S2 is the best one out of all the series because the fun factor is up there and better than S3. On S3 you need a lot of team work in order to be successful.

i like s3 better because its not as laggy as s2 or s1 (but sometimes)

plus it has good weapons..some of them

s1 = H4xor Pwnage it has not as much lagg, cheaters, and glitchers then both of the other socom's

socom 2 is always the best game in my mind. I played socom 3 and did small maps every time. That is what got me to realize...socom 2 is the same as small maps on socom 3. And on top of that, socom 3's update wont DL for me. I have tryed everything and it just dont work.

I've said this in other posts but it is amazing to me how many people still play Socom 2. I was on last night(this morning) at 2am EST and there were 6,600. I checked Socom 3 just after that and there were only 9,000.
Give it time and I bet the number of people on Socom 2 will surpass that on Socom 3. :)
