Socom 2 Patch Problems

I havent played Socom 2 since Socom 3, I realized within the first month that Socom 2 is way better than 3. I erased all the 2 information off of my memory card to make space for Socom 3 and gameshark things.

I finally dusted off my PS2 and tried to get on to Socom 2 but it keeps saying I have to download a patch. OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. I tried making space on a memory card by erasing EVERYTHING on it. I still get the download upate screen every time I connect.

What can I do to get back on Socom 2!? I see people on this board and different boards with the same problem, but nobody ever replies. PLEASE HELP.

It happends to me before. I solve it by format it or buying a new memory card.

lol that happened to me delete the data and try again. you might have to try it several times but eventually it will work....oh yea and if ure using a gameshark get rid of it.
