Deadzone is the area around the center of your joysticks. Having a low setting means it is smaller, and having a high setting means it is larger.

what it means is how far u have to move the l3 or r3 in order to get ur guy to move. high sewttting means ur guy will move withouut u wanting to.low makes ur guy walk mad slow
