thats depressing. socom 2 really ranks up there in video games.. 2 years of online play. I might call it my favorite over FF7. But socom 2s worth just isnt there if you have no one to log on and play against. how sad. Ill be the happiest guy in the world if they bring back the old maps. either for HDD users or socom 4, or something. i can only hope.

We in Europe have to wait still for Socom3, and when it does, i hope they patched it up a bit. to get the worst problems already out the game.
I do not know if they will take the CC thing out. Since CC's are not that poular here, they might alieanate some clients form them. We shall see.
However, Socom2 is, in my honest personal opinion, getting worse. More lag etc. I never really had big trouble with it, since it was just acceptable. I feel Zipper or Sony is taking all their efforts into socom3, trying to get socom3 up and keep it running properly. I feel the servers could do with a good clean-up.
We have a clanmember who played a clanmatch in Fish Hook and Crossroads. Nothing interesting, i hear you say. However, the Seals played Fish hook, where at the same time in the same game the terrors played Crossroads.
Of course the map layout is completely different, so Seals kept popping out of walls and random terrors were found to camp in walls and buildings Seals could not see. People died and could talk to the living, lag was enourmous of course. After the game there was a giggle and they swapped sides only to find it was the same deal other way around.
Anyhow, it was filmed and if there is a link, i iwll provide you with it.

I was playing yesterday and there was about 2000 ppl on the NA server and like 550 in the INTERNATIONAL server. when i logged on i joined all the maps played a bit in each one but i wasent happy to see that the glitchers took over. every room i went to there was a little kid glitching or another one team killing. after that i thought to myself "thank god socom 3 is out"

There have been 1,000 on during the day, and about 2-3,000 at night. I have gone back a few times, maybe 5 or 6. It's still fun. I will never be able to abandon it forever, I wasted so much time playing it.
