Same Error 612
I've tried everything to fix this problem. I've made sure that my settings are correct. Tried to reset all of my systems, and I even brought over my friends ps2 to see if he got the same problems to check if it was just my system. With 3 days till the release I sitll can't get pass the DNAS error-612. It happens on every game and not just socom. Please help me if you can, ive had this problem for a couple of months but now I really need to get it fixed.

I haveizon and I Belkin gateway router. I looked on Belkin's web site and saw that it has a NAT firewall but it also says that it works for gaming. I dont know if I just need to go buy a new piece of equipment or what but if anyone has any suggestions please reply.

Oh and just if you don't know, error 612 means that their is a firewall or closed ports.

Send a message via AIM to Kramboid
Try it without your router, just a direct connection from your PS2 to modem. Then post back here with the results.

I cant because the router serves as the modem.

any ideas on how i could fix this would help. Even if you think the only way to fix it would be to get a new gateway or something like it.

After a lot of trial and error (all of it error) I think that the problem is not a firewall, but that I dont have the right ports open. Does anybody know how I can open ports to my gateway router?

i had this problem when i first got my router, you should be able to configure your router and open the ports, just try searching around in your computer for your router configurions
