What DNAS 612 Error

It would go on to the DNAS loading then it would say 612 Error has any one have this happen to them my internet worked and every thing

no it could be a fault with your ethernet cable or network connection

I think you haven't put the right setting of your PS2 network configuration. Try to put AUTO setting.

Ive had that error a few times my comcast was messed up after awhile it went back to normal.

All that explains is what the Error is. We recieve that very same message as well. I'm having this same problem and I do have Comcast. I reset my modem and router and checked ports. It seems to be fine. I'll give it another day before calling my ISP.

Try taking the power out of your router, then putting it back in. (works for me everytime i get a DNAS error-612)

That's basically what I did. You know, reset - Totally turning modem off so it'll catch up. Simply pressing On/Off will not allow for the thing a chance to re-boot.

the site someone mentioned b4 says: The DNS resolver cannot be found. "DNAS Error (-612) A network error has occurred." Please double-check your network connection and/or network configuration.

Its probably ur network configuration, perhaps you gave incorrect information about ur isp/ connection. Like that guy said try going auto and i read somewhere that if u have a router, for the question that asks u "do u require a username/password to connect?" ur answer shud always be NO.
