That's true. Your mic is defiantely dying on you NIghtmare. :P
I've gone through 3 mics in almost 2 years. I've tried both kinds and they both die around the same time. The Logitech one is a bit better though IMO.

The headsets are a pile of ****... the military ahve headsets that are near indestructable and cost only a little more than the PS2 sets... too bad they aren't USB, or I would "borrow" a few
my headsets keep breaking for no apparent reason. I never throw them or drop them....they just break....the speech is always the first thing to go for no reason. Do the wires like decay or something?
