best sniper gun?

yo im a sniper... and im sortya between guns... which sniper should i use?? can ya write the pros and cons of each sniper gun??? cause im mostly usin the...wats the big black one wit the 16x zoom??? thanks alot...peace

i personally really like the M40A1 just because its so steady. it takes a headshot but its good for no-scoping and the fact that its so steady it isn't to dificult to get headshots. i've got a 2 for 1 snipe with it before lol.

the m87 and m82 are both real good snipers though i like them if the m40 isn't working for me

M87

Basic synopsis:

M87ELR: One shot kill, very unsteady scope, difficult to use but an excellent gun once you get the hang of it, also the reload time is longer that the others, this gun is meant mainly for long-range sniping...best used against snipers, vips, campers, and stupid rushers
M82A1A: Same as m87 but faster reload time and less accurate
SR-25: Fast fire rate (like a deagle) but not very powerful...usually a 3-4 shot kill, steady scope but no double zoom so meant for shorter ranges, good for shotgunning, this one is meant mainly for quick-action-hit-someone-while-they-are-runnning-at-medium-or-short-range sniping
SR-25SD: Same as SR but silenced and a tad less powerful
M40A1: Same scoping as m87/m82, but two shot kill, VERY steady scope...good for headshots if you can get the xhairs on the guy's head, perfect against campers, snipers, vips, anything stationary or running at you

SASR: Weakest of all...think of it as an m11 with a scope. I personally hate this gun but some people like it

The one you talked about is the M87ELR I'm pretty sure. Sniper rifles are pretty simple. The M82 and the M87 both kill in one shot pretty much all the time. They are the most common, and easiest/best rifles you can use.

Well the m82 and m87 are the best since they have a 1 hit kill thing. After those two, i would say m40 but it takes 2 shots or a headshot. Oh yeah and the m40 is real steady.

Some people prefer the Sr-25sd as a Seal, since it is silencd, but that usually takes two, or even three shots for a kill without a headshot. Sure it doesn't give away your position, but most people know all the sniping spots in all the maps, so I consider it pointless. But you may like it.

Use the SR 25 SD. It's great, it's acurate, silent, and sexy looking. It only takes about 2-3 shots to drop someone, unless you hit them in the throat or face. That's obviously 1 shot. When you get better at sniping, you can try to use the M40A1. This gun is awesome, extremely acurate, and only takes 2 shots to drop someone. Only draw back is that it's reload time is kind of LONG.

Its a good gun if you want fast and silenced sniper fire. I use it for all my stealthy sniping needs, no more ghey gun flare to give away my position.

Me and my friend have M40 duels on crossroads, fish market and red room, this is the most fun I've ever had with socom 2 in two years, you've got to try, believe it or not it makes you a better sniper using rifles that don't kill with one hit, because you'll have to aim for the head to get a one hit kill, and soon you'll get headshots like me with M78 and M82's, and won't notice how quick that was.
