Which button do u shoot with X or R1 ?

I shoot with the X button, lots of my freinds dat play Socom shoot with R1, they say the way that I play is the so called hard way. I Dont think so, its da only way I know how. I have no quick selections dat sucks sometime but I get by. I have read the Socom 3 manual and it says that we will have 2 shoot with R1.

I hope and pray that they have an option dat lets u choose da way u can set up your joy stick. If anyone has any insight on this please leave a post. Thnx. O one more thing I'm new 2 this forum thing so if I offended anyone with my prior post i'm sorry for the CAPS.

I shoot with R1 you can change by at the very first Main Menu go to Options>Controller Presets and you have yours on Presicion Shooter if you have to shoot with R1 then change it to Sure Shoot.

I don't see how people could shoot with the X button. That seems to be the harder way for me. You have to take your thumb off the right analog stick to fire...

I used to play with X button as the fire button, but I started to hate it, so I switched it at about 3 months after I got the game. I wouldn't switched it earlier, but I didn't know you could.

You Wouldn't have switched it earlier but you didn't know how?

Anyway back on topic, I use the Prescision Shooter Preset, and cannot play with sure shot. I dislike Sure Shot M16A2 users because they can use it in fully automatic. I have no problem with anyone using Sure Shot unless they are using a M16A2

One of the best players I know uses the X button for shooting. The guy can shoot an M16 like no other too.

I myself prefer to use the R1 button, it just makes it easier for me. I hate trying to play a game where it isnt on precision.

yea X button is just strange. i dont like moving my hand around for shooting, i like to have it constantly on the R1 for any game (killzone and stuff like that)

He can shoot the M16 like no other because Sure Shot users have an advantage with the M16 the can have it almost fully auto just press and hold X
