I think you will find that in real life.....much like SOCOM 2.....a great deal of those who are "on top" are essentially "rank-ups" and did little or nothing to get where they are.....It is a sad fact of life that has found it's way into the world of SOCOMland.....for good I'm afraid. Anything that records stats will always have someone trying to "beat the system." Real players come out and are obvious in battle!
i think its a shame that if u look at the top 10 player rankings on socom 2 they are all rank up
Try the top 2,000. I got really bored one day and scrolled down every single page of the player ranking below my screen name to look at everyone's stats. I also wanted to see if I was the highest ranked person with a screen name that is Blind, in any alternate letters, or anything of that sort. Well I found out I am, and that pretty much every single person under the rank of 2,000 is rank up. I could tell by their stats, and descriptions. I also took into acount what clan they were in. Most (if not all) of the top ranked clans in SOCOM II are either R^ clans or glitch clans. I could probably compile a list within 2 hours of all the R^ names in SOCOM II in the top 5,000 if I wanted to. It wouldn't take me long, my rank is nicely settled at 7,300. I'm legit thank you very much.
i strongly disagree, my two freinds i was in a clan with in oklahoma are ranked like 5000 (PANDA MAN* and smokeymcbong) and they dont rank^ at all, im not gonna lie i did rank^ as a cookie from 111000 to 95000 to pass my freind, but this other guy we met PhIL rocKz YUU hes a HUGE *** R^ he has like 2500 more rounds lost than won and hes ranked 1230. Hes like look at my kill death ratio dude.
right now im ranked 38920 88% legit.

If you would have read my post carefully, you would have seen that I was saying I could compile a list of who in the top 5,000 is rank up. I didn't say everyone in the top 5,000 is rank up. There is a player by the name of ...Ooppsy! who is somewhere near the top 5,000 and he has very impressive stats. I'm saying I could scroll through the top 5,000 and pin-point every player who is rank up. Here's a crappy picture of ..Oopsy!'s stats that I took with my camera phone:

I reallyt hate rank ups. My did it but it doesn't look like it on his stats. He has 4,000 kills over deaths. Kills=10,278 deaths=6,546 But he still ranks up. I guess it's because he hangs out with copycat(The king of rank ups).
I hate R^'s. ...yes I am guilty 3 times 1st time I was thinking "Wow, I didn't think Guidance was a repawn"
the 2nd was after starting a new name and the third was after going -45 and losing about 100 rating points.
now my clan goes around shutting down R^ rms. we are the hereos of the people
my clan walked me into it. made me into a captain. i was like 1500 kills under deaths, one month ago i said, my goal is kills over deaths, every game if i didnt get kills over deaths id abort. now i am about 150 under, so i am gonna pull it off, yay ya. haha
