I personally have no other problem with any gun, other than the M203, M79, MGL.

In case you have no idea what the game is about, let me tell you.

It "simulates" people being NAVY seals, the navy seals are bada$$es with bad a$$ guns. That is why they wreck shop in real life. That is why 4 Seals can take on a whole platoon of freakin' dune-coons.

It adds a sense of realism to the game. If they didn't have it, you would probably be griping about it.

It should give a terrorist a sense of overcomming a challange when he takes a seal with a 203 down.

Quit trying to bring others DOWN to your level, instead you should climb UP to their level. It will make everyone better.

Last thing, look at the cover of the game, what gun is the SEAL holding???? I'm sure this is what zipper had in mind, " here is a 203, but don't use because you might kill more than others and they will get offended."

Anyone who sticks up for the M203s or M79s obviously hasn't played the game very much. The problem with these is they take the fun out of the game. On half the maps, one team has them and the other side doesn't. These are the worst. Who wants to be on the Seal side on Rats Nest if the entire Terrorist team was using M79s? Thats the problem. Anyway grenade launchers suck and if you stick up for them, you ARE a noob because theres very few players with 20+ hours playtime who actually like them. Everyone whose played the online game more than a few times knows they suck.

It's especially moronic to say that M203s are okay to use because in real life Seals would have better guns. I got news for you, this isn't real life, and for a game to be fun, there has to be an equal chance for each side to win. When Seals use cheap guns, it upsets the balance of the game. Zipper is at fault for this, but players try and make the game fair. Players (ie noobs) who use 203s make the game UNFAIR. You try being on Terrorist Blizzard against a team of 203s and we'll see how much fun you have, and how much of a fair chance you have to win. Theres virtually no chance you'll win in this situation, and it sucks. Its the same thing in Madden, nobody wants to be the Bengals and go up against the Patriots or Colts. Thats why you choose approximately equal teams. Stop whining and pick up a real gun.

As for machine guns, I've NEVER once been called a noob for using them, and I use them constantly as Terrorist and I pwn. If anyone whines about it, just tell them to break out the same exact gun... since both sides have it on every map. It's not really something that anyone can complain about, and when people do, they sound stupid. Plainly put, if they were the best guns in the game, everyone would use them. The biggest difference between the machine guns and grenade launchers is the simple fact that they are GUNS, not grenade launchers, and they take skill to use, NOT luck.

I was in a room where 3 seals were using m203s. In the lobby, I saw that they consisted of 2 liuetenants, and one ensign.They went to terrorists and all had under 3 kills and over 6 deaths.

M203's are noob guns. Why? Because only noobs need to use them to get kills.

But I see how it will be difficult to win this argument. I just wish people would not limit a game. If you dont like it, make your own game titled "NAVY SEALS without M203's".

Maybe you can use the BFG, or a plasma rifle, or maybe the stickler.

All I am saying is that the 203 is a real attachment to a real gun, and due to the fact that this game tries to "SIMULATE" things in the best possible way, the 203 is just a part of the game. If you don't like getting killed by a 203 join the SEALS; If you you want a challange, play terrorist against aSEALS using the 203.

to me m203's are the same as granades. they dont take any skill to use. would you vote off someone that is using granades every ound. i think not.

I was called a noob for sniping with an SR-25-SD 2 days ago because the gun is silent

My view on the 203/79 issue is in most medleys, tryout rooms, or normal socom rooms (atleast in the NA server) there is an "unspoken" rule about no GLs of any kind. The only time you'll see people using them is if their clan is in the room to back them up and make sure they're not voted out.

I don't have any problem with people using the M203s or MGL's, etc. unless it falls into the following parameters:

1) On Nightstalker, terrorists using M79's and MGLs is weak because the other side doesn't even have a chance.

2) If people are just firing them off to see what comes up. M203's and M79's are precise weapons used for one purpose, to kill the enemy from a longer range.

3) I will never call people who use GL's noobs because they aren't. It is a fine weapon and I will use it on occasion on maps like The Mixer to clear extracts. I can say for a fact that I have never been killed by a SEAL with an M203 because I know what the limitations of the gun is. I have been killed by M79s many times but I don't mind because SEALs are supposed to be the ones overcoming a large force and if they can't, oh well.

People whine too much about things being balanced. Do you think Navy SEALs whine about things being balanced in Iraq and Afghanistan, **** no... they take on adversity as a challenge. That is why you can send a team of 12 SEALs into a country with hundreds of the enemy and the SEALs will emerge victoriously.

Yea, you need to know how to use it and suibsequently how to avoid it. Both of which are easy with practice.
