Plenty of lag, if not more on xbox. I dont experience the frame rate drops though (as much).

I've had DSL and currently have cable. I've noticed that cable goes faster when downloading stuff. With DSL i would download stuff like at about 150 KBps. which is pretty damn fast. But now with cable i usually download stuff going at about 350 Kbps. But i dont think Socom could be using up any more bandwith the DSL has the capability for. I dont know what he meant exactly by saying that about DSL. Maybe it has to do with something that i dont know about.

DSL CONNECTION USUALLY HAVE A DOWNLOAD SPEED OF 1.5 TO 3 MB
COMPARE TO CABLE WICH GUIVES ME 5 TO 6 MB DOWNLOAD AND 960 TO 980 FOR UPLOAD
WE SHOULD ALL TEST OUR CONNECTION AND SHARE THE RESULT....
THEN AGAIN ZIPPER SONY SHOULD MAKE A TEST CONNECTION AFTER DNA TEST IF YOU ARE UNDER 3 MB YOU CANOT BE HOST(OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT WOULD FIX UP SOME LAG...sorry for the cap lock just realise it was on~!~!!anyway i think being the host should go with the next fastest connection and not the next oldest person in the room!

Yes, that system was very poorly designed. In SOCOM 3 they need to utilize bittorrent to make a much better and quicker system. Generally Comcast sucks for host because upload is ****, so no one host if your comcast.

For anyone who still isnt understanding why DSL user shouldnt be host:

DSL have a fluxuating connection speed (not really the right term i dont think)
Cable has one concrete speed. So DSL can have more or less speed than cable, however you can ever be sure.
