this happens to me at random times. after bugging our cable company apperantly the lines got knocked out in a storm that only dropped .6 inches of rain. what i did is rewire all my stuff so that my cable modem has the most direct route to the source wire.
we live in a development so theres cable "boxes" out side every end unit's yard. one of the power bosters or sumtin, a critical one, got fried. we cant even get most of the friggin channels that we paid for on teh digital converter. the guy didnt fix it though, because it was friggin sunday! he blamed it on football, which i can under stand, but he said someone else would come back to fix it. no one ever did.
also, more recently, for some reason my cable leading to my modem routinley gets loose. i have to tighten it almost every time now.
our service provider (PDT) used to not give us email, then after 7 phone calls where they picked up {rare occasion} they gave us email. but guess what? IT DOSENT FRIGGIN WORK ON MY ACCOUNT!! AGGGH!!! it only works for the master account.
ive had every problem with the exception of teh banned screen comming up. ive had no universes, it keep on looking for universes, blinking reciving, sending, and online lights for my modem, user name does not exist, log in failures, user aggreement failures, times when i could not connect to the universe {not including matinence hours}, the actuall connection failures-timeout, 3 friggin kinds of DNAS failures [timeout, network errors, and this really ****ed up one which flashes really fast], "game join errors"-which makes you keep on pressing "X" over and over, unless you press square too, which will take you to the main screen with teh scrolling sound in the backround and it wont let you move-, "you have been disconnected from socom 2 online", "All players have left the game before you were able to join"|which was ********, because i had a friend on the phone and everyone was stiill in there and it wasnt going to the "GAME OVER" screen|, the thing where it says "JOINING" for ever or for liek 5 minutes(when you click on a breifing room and you can get out of the breifing room select and it will still show, buit if your lucky, after a whiole it will join), "MULTI-PLAYER GAME FAILUREs", "CREATE GAME FAILURE", and even got booted for blowing up a claymore at the very end of the round.
