What? How many users are playing Final Fantasy? Why would anyone buy the HDD for socom until there were maps released for it. You would have to be really stupid to listen to a bunch of whiners on the net. No reliable source (magazing, TV show, Sony, Zipper, IGN, etc...) has ever said the maps had been released. If you bought it because you knew they were coming in the "future" then shutup and wait for the future.

Marketing ploy? What does that mean? They havn't advertise any new content for Socom! They did however advertise Final Fantasy heavily. So if you bought Final Fantasy & Drive 0 what the hell did you think you were getting? Even game stores (such as EB) were given a letter with the shipment stateing that the HDD was only for FF now and there was no content for any game as of yet. So not only did they not advertise new maps - they went one step further to inform stores and customers that they had NOT released anything yet.

What?? Release Socom2 a year late? I'm glad I've been able to play the game for so long.

Did you buy the drive? If you did (and by reading your post) I would say that your an idiot. If you didn't then what's the problem. We will let you know when the new info is out and you can go and buy the drive then - without the FF game for a cheaper price. Then you can laugh at everyone that paid extra for FF and doesn't play it.

I never thought I would feel so strongly about the PS2. But I can't belive the idiotics of some morons on the net (here and other boards). Some times I think they must be smarter but there just being asses for the attention.

Anyhow, I await your response. :)

I was using the PlayOnline software today (on the PS2) with a USB keyboard and mouse... WOW! Although I found the interface very complex and annoying I was blown away at the "expirence".

With the keyboard and mouse it's basically like a simple computer. Click the buttons, no scrolling through each option, right click brings up the menu. Even the scroll wheel on the mouse would scroll through the chat windows.

The PlayOnline software (bundled, but not Final Fantasy) has built in chat and email. Although both are lacking from the PC world, it's still really cool to be using them on the PS2.

I think this software is really cool, and I look forward to other applications released to mimic this style. Loading to the hard drive is hopeful aswell. If new games are developed to depend on the HDD we could be in for a real treat! (at least for the short time the PS2 has left before it's replaced).

Just my short review. I needed somthing to calm me down. :)

I think you mistake what I said. There is no web browser yet, only the ablitity to enter chat rooms, check and send email, and download other various things to your hard drive such as wallpaper, e-cards, stuff like that. I am just HOPING they will release a web browser, that would be RAW!
