PS2 HDD question/answer thread

i have hear about using it with metal gear and snake eater. Once again just comments on some articles ive found. I am sure it is going to be like socom though where you have to wait a while for any content to come out for those game as well.

Come and get it. Yes raped by sony again. Guys (including me), the anticipation was so big that i rushed out, pre-ordered, and bought this piece of shyt. Now i'm turning my head smiling at sony while they continue to ran US (socom world) up the @ss. I don't see 2 universes at the sign on screen, i don't have any new maps, and i surely won't be playing that boring @ss FF bullshyt.

On the other hand, i'm a give it a few weeks. I'm assuming Sony thinks that everyone doesn't have the new HDD yet and so they will stall it out before actually presenting the new maps to us (just a guess). At first, I was pissed and upset. But i built a brigde and got over it. Hopefully their might be something done tonight, say ummmm after the maintenence hours. Maybe they might add that new so called " new universe" but till then. Try and be patient. They came through once for us with the patch, so lets just hold off on this getting upset business and see wha happens. Who knows wha's gonna happen.

In the mean time, call your friends and tell them how you got 3 new maps, 4 new guns, and 1 new character. Cruel i know, and its worked. Surely they were upset in the end but i enjoyed the joke. So fellas, I bid you good day. I'm done. PeACE.

Yeah Final Fantasy is so great.

I have heard a lot of good things about it, but they were good things that any MMORPG would have. Ulitimal Online, Everquest, ect. ect. all did it first a probably better. Its noithing special, and therefore I think Sony will need Socom II to help fuel HDD sales.

I don't get it. Are you upset because you fell for internet messageboard hype? It wasn't Sony/Zipper that said that content would be available at the HDD launch, a single magazine did.

Keep up with the OFFICIAL information and make your judgement. Messageboard hype isn't official, and you should be angry at yourself for falling for it.

Of course we didnt fall for "internet messageboard hype" we fell for sony retail BS. Do you think we are morons? When I went to EB games to decide on whether or not to buy the HDD, this dude I know there said, "there will definetly be downloadable content for Socom 2 the day you get it.... but we only know what Sony will tell us". This guy is a freind of mine, that Ive known for quite a long time. Does that look like messageboard hype? The fact is Sony never told us anything, they never gave us any information regarding what was real or fake. They have no concern keeping their customers informed, they are just trying to turn a buck. Its real life marketing that works, but it just sucks that they have to backstab their customers.

So, like, Sony/Zipper is obligated to keep you informed? So, because they didn't inform you, but your friend did, you blame them for your disgruntlment with purchasing the HDD and there being no content?

Marketing ploy? They never said there would be socom content at launch, right? Sounds to me like the "gossip" got the best of your friend - and you.

I have my hard drive i was kind of upset that there was nothing new, but i kind of figured there wasn't going to be anything! But there was some magazine that said that there was going to be stuff for it on the release date and don't magazine get their info from credible sources? the thing that makes me a bit upset is that sony/zipper isn't giving info on anything! If you e-mail them they will respond with ******** if you call them they will respond with ********! I mean at least give us something a date or something! That's what makes me mad is that they're not releasing info on anything no one knew that the patch was coming it just came! i mean i think the should release some info about what to expect!

You know what is ironic, I haven't even played all of the online levels yet. Many of them I have only played a few times so for all I know I might really like them if I gave them a chance, and yet I'm complaining because there are no more new HDD levels.

In the end $100 is nothing to me anyway, I spend that every couple weeks on video games and periphrials anyway. I spend that in 2 nights at the bar. Eventually there will be content, so who cares if I get it now or later.
