Whoever asking when the UK gets the HDD, the answer i never. I suppose you could import a US Playstation/HDD/Socom 2/Disc with map though thats the only way you could get it. And then you wouldnt be able to play it on the EU servers

I think the answer to this is no. The Ps2 will only recognize what it is programmed to see( 8MB MEMORY CARD, 40 GB HDD). The only way to make it see anything else is to change the programming with a chip or however you wannabe hackers do it. And if you do that then the DNAS will not let you online. But as always I could be wrong.

hdd...and new new ps/2
i was wondering if the ps-2 uses ide cables because i dont want to by a hard drive....and if the new slimmer ps2 can have a hdd?

A good question is: Why would you buy what you either already have or could get cheaper, that has less functionality?

yeah....that makes sence....but i still didnt answer my question about if a can take my ide hdd from my comp and connect it to my ps2

yes you can, if its 40 GB and has nothing on it

alrighty...thnx.... yeah my hdd is 40 gb...but y would it matter if it had anything on it....shouldnt it just install the data in its own partition or w/e u want to call it... and leave my OS alone...?

it should, but remember, it might have to format it to PS2 format, so u know what that means, everything gits deleted...
