PS2 HDD question/answer thread

I use my PS2 HDD ((HAHAHA)) Just joking but there is a new product that sony (also Blockbuster, hollywood video, ect. will hate but us Consumers will love. It's called the HD Loader. It alows you to copy games fromthe disk to your HDD. There are a couple games that don't work but very few. The only thing that sucks is any games that use DNAS won't work (ex. SOCOM 2 but you can still play single player mode.What's the fun in that?) It's $30 plus $16 for fastest shipping but well worth the cash. I have about 15 games on my HDD at this time Driver 3 is one of them. i know someone with this hddloader...it says it wont work with dnas games but he was able to get on tony hawks undergorund with the game being on his hdd. you are restriceted to how many games you can store tho. seeing as it says it requires a 40gb harddrive(20 works fine tho) most games are around 4gb meaning on a 40 gb you store 10 games max. and yes only about 90% of the games will work off the hdd loader...it reuires no l0oading ethier when youplay its all like the old sega cartriges the didnt load :D

the new maps will come but not untill other games like killzone,urban combat,25 to life, come out,cause they want to try and compete
with those games instead of releasing a new online shooter they will release those new maps or should i say old maps. sony has been
holding them probably since socomII came out .

Yes You may say i am an idiot For Buying The HDD and Acctually Playing FXI (i only play cause Friend Gave me he account) but well i play Socom 2 way more and to tell you the Truth

my thing is... and i dont know if it is true or not... but i believe that they are waiting for Halo 2 to come out... halo2 will make a big impact ont he amount of socom players. a lot of people are anxious waiting for these maps so zipper/sony thinks that by releasing these maps around halo2 release time that it will keep some socom players with socom to play the new maps
