It's been posted here before. IT IS A GLITCH. There is a way you can exploite a bug in the 'create room' screen that will cause this. When you look, there is usually only 1 person in the room. THERE IS STILL NO DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT FOR SOCOM YET.

For starters, the HDD is mainly only worthwhile for Final Fantasy right now. There is nothing for Socom.

Also, that's interesting. I don't know how the PAL system is different then the NTSC system. I would assume it was just the video card format. Do you know that there are different HDDs for the PAL system? I can't see what would be different on the hard drive. Even the preloaded software should still render the same and pass it off to the PAL output video card.

Ya I know what PAL is. But I didn't think it was related to your power. PAL is the video format that goes to the TV (basically). That's why they sell NTSC and PAL videos, TVs, Cam Corders.

Right?

You can have a NTSC VCR & TV if you want, as long as you can get it. At the most you would just need a power adaptor.

Same as over here. I know TV repair / Video dub shops have working PAL systems.

So... The HDD should not have anything to do with PAL/NTSC. It takes 3 power leads - +5V, +12V, GND and all should come off the same from your PS2 motherboard - the same on either system.
