the ranking system definetely isnt the best one out there, but hey, when did rank start mattering to everyone. play the game have fun, thats what i did and guess where i am. captain, funny how that works play for fun, rank goes up, keep it in mind, mite work for u guys too, :D

Im always ranked 6500-8000 and I pretty much stopped playin captains only games because it never helps my rank. The best way after the patch to help your rank to me is to go into a U.S. East room(or any room where all ranks can play) and be on a weak team vs a strong one. Strength of team means alot more after the patch, even if you lose your rank will improve just because you were doing good on a ****** team. Don't try being on the team who has 4 captains when ur team is full of cookies/sticks just cuz you want to win. Its just going to hurt your rank no matter how good you do just because of how much strength of team matters now.. you want to be against the strong team.

Well, if you would like your rank to reflect your game play thus far ,then keep the same name. If you would like to make a new one to see how high you can get, then make a new name.

im a pretty new socom player and i find the raking system to be very complcated compared to any other game on the market today. but if you think of socom without the ranking system and ranks(ensign, liutenient, liutenient comander, captain) how much different would it be.just bringing this into consideration
I just have to mention that I love wings (captains) that have 600 more deaths than kills. That is really entertaining to see. Aren't wings supposed to be good? I think I am a decent Socom 2 player (2800 kills and 2700 deaths) and have a hell of a team backing me up (so I get a lot of wins) and I am still not a captain. I have 4 guys on my team that are captain worthy, but because of these rank uppers they won't get their wings. [FU] Nation.....gettin drunk Chi-town Style!!!!
