Online ranking system... raves/gripes

Easy guys, cool it, we don't want this thread locked.

On-Topic: Yeah, the ranking system most definately is teh suxor.
I had a friend who didn't play for 4 months, then when he came back and had wings! I had wings once, for about a month and a half I think (legit too, rankuppers are ****ing ******ass ***** little ****** pieces of crap who should all be ****ing killed to-****ing-morrow!) and I went away for one weekend. ONE WEEKEND, and I was lieutenant commander again. Now, try and try, pwnzor and pwnzor, I CANNOT get my wings again! Of course, I refuse to rank up. (see my bit on ranking up

Thats the thing, Rank is determined by score, so the rank up rooms aren't really hurting your rank. All you have to do is hit 40000 in rank now, thats quite easy compared to when it used to be 15000(and before that even less). I had an experience like your once also, early on in its release, i had a 1500 score, and lost 800 off of one lousy Sujo game, instantly going from LT COM to Enisgn. Play one game in an ensign only room and get 15 or more kills over deaths, and you almost get your cookie back guarenteed. Its not hard, i played one game in there on my buddys crap name, and went 16-1 in 5 rounds.

its not the Rank^ that makes it 40,000 to get wingz its the more poeple registering becuz if more and more people register 5% becomes way bigger and the top 5% of everyone registered makes it 40,000 thinkj about it was there 2 million people registered when the game first came out? nope i personally used to rank^ i kinda do still but yah i said what i wanted to

ok my rank was around 21000. i am kicking a$$ in every game i am in. i played 10 games and 2 clan wars. i always had kills over deaths. my kills were over 15 and my deaths were under 5. after all those games my rank went down to 33000. wtf how can that happened. i had rounds won over lost and its was like 6 to 1, 6 to 3, 6 to 2. i had no suicides no team kills. i planted the bomb almost every time. blew all the brides i can. i defused alot of bombs. kills quite amount of vips. and rescued about 15 of them. i was playing with cookies and captains. cuz i went to a captains only room and the clans i was playing with were cookies. so why the **** is my rank going down like crazy. i am doing so ****|n good and nothing is happening but bad. seriously it should change in socom 3. or **** it ill minus well be a rank down

I like the ranking system...but it could be improved. Like they should add the amount of MVP's you have gotten.

The ranking system is ok, it's just I hate when I get unlucky and I get disconnected, and then all of a sudden I'm an ensign.

i noticed on the 1st page sumone saying they ahveing a prob keeping their rank up thats happening to me allot to. i dont get it. i get mvp 9 out of 10 games and i sighn on next day my rank drops im like wtf.
