It is mainly who you fight in rank. I can win 6-2 in a match and go down just because there were lt comms in the room.

ranking system
been my experience your rank is affected by whoever you are playing's rank. ie butterstick playing a captain, and his team wins, and he kills you your rank is going to plummet and his will go up. most of it is determined by rounds won or lost though. good way to keep your rank is play rank only room, capt only...lt comm. only.. that way the people you are playing are close to you in rank. and you DO lose points when you abort, but not when you get voted.

Yeah because if you were a Captain, and you were in an all rank breifing room, and you lost to say.. a Lt. Commander or Ensign (lol) your rank would go down than opposed to you losing to another Captain. And vice versa for winning.

Im not sure, but do respawn games lower your rank? I have an alternate acount in which im a stick, and i mvp'ed 6 games in a row without going up in rank.

Yeah, the servers didnt really have any medely rooms(like XR FF) the servers werent really lagging. Now that all those rooms are back, the servers suck. Oh well, thats SOCOM II for ya>

socom raking system
the ranking system is ok in socom 2, it is just that people abuse the ranking system and rank up. People need to stop doing this because, rank doesn't mean sh*t in clan wars, i have seen cookies take out a whole team full of wings. Because rank ups occurs no one knows who has the genuwine wing or cookies, so dont look at the rank of the individual, look at how they play and their stats in game!!!

The thing that I dont like is that if you start a clan, even if you dont have a rank, it automatically bumps you up to a liutenant. I dont like that and plus I hate it when people who have like 4 kills and 9 deaths are ahead of me and I have like 54 kills and like 25 deaths. That is one thing I dont like. But other than that I think it is a pretty stable system.

I think the ranking system is OK. It's dropped my rank a few times when I do good, but other than that I think it's pretty good!
