That's it? I was on one day that had well over 45,000, I believe it was 49,000. The lag was terrible...I had no clan, no friends...Even though I wasn't in a clan, I had some weird, long clan tag. It was crazy that day.

I remember it was like that A LONG time ago.But lately its been in the low 20,000. When it stays 15,000-20,000 then it's usually ok. And believe me, that's still a lot of people considering with all the competition it still has.

What determines rank is: Winning rounds & having more kills than deaths & defusing bombs. Planting the bomb, blowing up gates, rescuing hostages, killing V.I.P.'s, etc... does nothing for your rank unless, that is, if one of the following helps you win a round.

Here's my take on the current system. Rank change is based on games won vs. lost. In addition, I believe it takes into account both the number of players per team and the players individual rank. In other words, if it's 8 on 6 (and you're the eight) when you win, you don't get as big a point boost as when it's even. And conversely, if you lose, it's a bigger hit on your points. Secondly, if youre on a team full of Captains who kick the crap out of a team full of ensigns, you don't increase your rank as much. If you beat a bunch of high rank opponents, you get more. If you lose to lower rank opponents, you lose bigger points. Etc. etc. etc.
So, if during the day you win more "low value" games than you've lost in "high value" games, you could still actually lose rank.

All i have to say is that the ranking system sucks and i think that the company that is in charge of the system should update it or get a new one

Yes but you have to realize this, there will always bee those people that have more than one playstation and all they do is kill themselves with a diff name.
So i say zipper makes a patch that gets rid of R^ and then if you have more than one name on the same IP adress it wouldnt work. Only one name on at a time.

I think the ranking system totaly sucks. I got MVP 2 rounds in a row and my rank went from 40,000 to 45,000 WTF!! I also got MVP in captains room and my rank went up. They need to change it. More kills the better the rank.
