Quiet.
Well, my mic is screwed anyway. I can talk, but not hear. What should I do? Just play around with the wires? Anyway, I tried it. I'll see if it works.

Simple fix for a simple problem.
i dont know why anyone has thought of this yet, its such a simple fix. You might be using too much bandwith at once. If you're running a cable modem...think about it....if someone is watching tv...theres some bandwith..if someone is on the computer...more bandwith, turn off all these things, it'l work, i promise. if you're running dsl, the same thing, the phone and internet through computer, all run through bandwith. lets get real and cut all the router and firewall talk.....voice takes up a lot of bandwith..think about it, its common sense. TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTERS AND CABLE BOXES THEN PLAY.

i treat my mic mor ethan fairly.. it helps me alot in wars.. so i enjoy it..but after about 3 -5 months of usage its just stops working outta no where.. like ill be in a room , it will work, then alll of a sudden it doesnt work, then im liek no biggy it does it occasionally..but then ill rejoin/reboot/reset router and what not and it wont work then i notice the talkgn thing coming up at the bottom right but i here no "Bee-deep" but people say they can still hear me but that i cant hear them back. and some times its the other way around, it happens with the talking piece i can hear fine but they cant hear me.. :( ive bought over 300 dollars worth of mic's :(

Some people say that going to the armory while you are in the game lobby helps.

FIRST thing you need to find is your PS2's IP address. You can get this in the PS2 "network configuration", write this # down, it will be like 192.168.x.x

Secondly, you have to goto your ROUTERs config settings, usually you goto your internet browser (a.k.a. URL), and type http://192.169.1.1
this is for a LINKSYS router, I believe D-LINK is the same, check in the manual on accessing the router config.

Third, usually you leave username blank, and type "ADMIN" in for the password to access the config (again, this is for linksys, D-Link might be slightly diff.)

Fourth, find "Port Forwarding" in your config, and enter the following:

check the boxes (UDP, TCP), and type in your PS2's IP for the IP. Type in 6869 for the PORT #, make sure that all the necessary boxes are check, click APPLY.

fire up the PS2 and your mic should work!
how do i get to the network configurations thing to find my IP address? i couldn't find it.
