Again people...

Can someone that succed in the mic/headphone process write down what i'm suppose to expect (to see and to hear) when it works ?

i have the Linksys router (BEFSR41) i have read all the info on it, but the only thing that worked for me is.

i pushed the reset button on the router, (on the Linksys its on the front panel next to the lights) then opened ports 3659 and 3659. so far all is well.

except for the usual lag and game freeze that we all encounter.

ok step by step

1. open up the box.
2. you should see a headset inside.
3. plug the headset into your ps2 via usb port.
4. turn your ps2 ON.
5. The mute button on the headset should start glowing. (red or blue)
6. When playign in a game you should expect to hear people talking.
7. hold dow O, you can expect to hear a beep.

That is the way everyone hopes it will work but if not you might need to update firmware open stuff on your router.

I have seen that "name" can be choosen and icon should change.

Can you confrim and specify please ?

Does my Headset work? It says "TALKNET" on the side of the Mic. And it has a little Connection Into the PS2. It wont work at all. I dont even know if its a useable Mic. [quote]5. The mute button on the headset should start glowing. (red or blue)

1 you should expect to hear noise
2 you should expect to see a headset

Specialist, nice from you to answer me twice to the same "stupid" question ! :D :D :D :D

Let just say that, if this stupid headset was working i won't post stupid questions.

From now, i'll get my own headset (original Socom) in a few days. I will test again.

My guess goes for a Firewall problem. I have open several ports as required but the headset definitly not going or getting outside signal.

I'll do more configuration and let you know.
