Another Chat?
I don't know if anyone else would want this feature on our forums, but I know I'd like it. I used the old chat quite a bit back when these boards were the desert tan colors. Why did the other chat get shut down, anyway?

Is it possible to have another chat, or is too much of a hassle?

What was the problem last time? People abusing the swear filter? People acting like pricks? Does it cost extra money for the site?

Spill the beans, Lib. What do you think?

Who else wouldn't mind having a chat function for this website?

But, really there was some issue of immunity that caused it to end.

Wouldn't you need a Moderator in there almost 24/7 to make sure nothing 'heavy' happens?

I don't remember ever using the site chat, maybe it had gone before I joined. It would be nice to see a chat, but it would be the same members talking about the same crap over and over day in day out.

For what it's worth, you may as well set a group chat up on MSN/AIM/etc.

I believe it got shut down because when the forum switched types, the chat wasn't able to be used with the new setup. I could be wrong, but I remember hearing that.

If it's able to be used now, I'd like to see it again.

no, there are bots you can have sit in and if a member says anything you dont want them to or whatever it will kick/ban... ect

I remember that as the reason as well. If it was put back up I would definitely use it. If it can't be used, or if it is decided that the chat will not be coming back, then I can live with that as well.

We have too many Mods added as is. Everytime just one Mod gets updated, its a pain in the azz. If I had all the time in the world, I would add a million Modifications to the forums. Its easy to say lets add this and lets add that, until your the one installing and having to update them constantly. Plus each one increases the server load time little by little.

I have 1 or 2 additional Mods planned for the future and thats the way I would like to keep it.

Live chat is annoying and useless. If you want to do that use AOL or something.
