I started at SJSU a couple of weeks ago. Classes have been pretty easy so-far. My Linguistics teacher is horrible though, I can't understand a word he says. Agh, I've been procrastinating too long for today, off to find two weather reports for my German class.

I'm actually majoring in Linguistics. I can't understand my Linguistics professor because English isn't his first language so he is hard to understand. Oh, I'm a Freshman here btw. Great to hear you'll be here next year (wow did that ever rhyme!). I like it here so far. Met alot of great people. Definately way better than high school.

Hah that sucks. Yea my sister is a sophmore in college and she tells me the same thing.
Hopefully I'll enjoy SJSU. I want to major in either art or film and also play for their hockey team.

I've met quite a few art and film majors already. They seem like a happy bunch here. The one thing I do love about SJSU is the library. That place is huge! Very easy for me to just go in there and do my homework before class. Also, its a nice change from my high school in which it was like 70% asian (not that I have anything against them). It's just nice to see people from other places.

I am taking this this semester, Next semester I should be in the kitchen.
Basic math - I feel retarded every time I come to this class, It is like 2nd grade math.
Culinary Nutrition.
College Success Skills - Should be a breeze
Imprv Coll. Writ II
If you are in HS now and going to college next year, Make sure you show up to registration as soon as it opens, I go stuck in BS classes b/c all of the culinary ones are full.

Yea the new library is pretty sweet. That's what you get for having a college in in the heart of Silicon Valley.
It'd be pretty interesting to bump into you at SJSU next year...

I'm good at math, but calc may be over my head. Has anyone taken calculus?

Calculus and pre-calculus are completely separate entities. Pre-calculus is nowhere near as complicated, it's just lots of graphs, functions, and some more complex algebra.
