I would hope that isn't a subtle way of saying that the 360 gets this game too, but I'm sure you're right.
It running on PS3 hardware, and snake holding a SIXAXIS to control the MKII is a very clear way of saying it is a PS3 exclusive :)
Oh, I watched the vid over again. They had the standard defenition, and what you were talking about, it does look like an A at first glance. But now when you watch the new HD version, it is clearly a triangle.
Wow, that is so ****ing crazy. I like on the video how he rolls in the can and then pukes. That is realistic.
LOL. Realistic, you mean like how he lays on the floor and because he's the same color as the ground the highly trained mercenary is completely oblivious? These games are goofy, but I love them. Probably going to buy this.

The fact that you can see snake clearly is the same reason why you can see Sam Fishers bright green lights. So you know where the character is.
For the people that think the AI is dumb, yes, in this demonstration it is probably on a low difficulty. They wanted to show off all the different features without dieing a lot.
The game still isn't coming out for about 7 months, and there will be a lot of polishing. But don't complain about the AI, because if you ever played the other MGS games on the HARDEST difficulty, then you know how hard it can be.
Oh, and for those who didn't know, Metal Gear Online will be a seperate game. I do believe it is going to be for the playstation store and retailers. I am not totally sure.
Probably just so they can finish up MGS4, and the fact that MGS4 is probably taking up all the space possible on the 50 gig blu-ray disc, they probably didn't have room for it. xD

They said that in this version, you can play the entire game in 1st person if you feel like it, but traditionally it has been a 3rd person shooter (actually until subsistence it was a fixed camera shooter, the camera was fixed for each area).
But anyway that sucks about online being separate. I had assumed that, like MGS 3: S, it would be included with teh game. I'm going to be broke enough this holiday season, what with GTA IV- Haze- Assassins Creed- Socom: Confrontation- Blacksite: Area 51- Lair etc....
::EDIT::
Ok, just watched it twice. Freaking awesome. The FPS that you can play through the entire game with isn't really a typical FPS and you move way too slow in it, but for the MGS series it is perfect. I didn't like how the octocamo worked that much, it didn't look convincing enough. Also, that had to of been a really low difficulty and they probably had some cheats on (unless you can carry 300 rockets with you at all times). But still, this is an amazing game and I can't wait to play it for myself!
whats up with the blue stuff on the characters in the online shots?
For online there's a system for you to see your teammates all across the map. From what I saw, your allies are blue, and enemies are red. When your teammates shoot at something, you'll see a line pointing at where they're shooting, and if they talk, I think a beam or something like that shows you who is talking.
The way you get to see your enemies position is if your ally spots them (only shows who'se been spotted), or if you kill an enemy and "hack" into their system, then all their allies (your enemies) will show up on your screen.
