The Best Intro/Opening Video to a Video Game

I recently was watching an opening video to a video game and the thought just hit me.

I don't know if I'll go as far as counting up the votes and come to a conclusion of which video game has the best intro, but if enough people submit entries, I will.

Anyway, for now at least, list one video game that you think has the best intro with the particular console.

My vote goes to Killzone for the Playstation 2.

Not only does the game have a great storyline, but so does the video. It sets up what the game is about, showing great visual and audio aspects, with some action sequences. It also has the best "speech" I've ever seen in a video game.

I loved the S2 intro vid, I don't know why but it always pumped me up. Then the main menu had stuff running in the background that just added to the atmosphere.

any MGS game. it always has some action in it and has someone talking while snake does something. its like a movie opening.

Yeah that Killzone one is great. Another good one is the opening video for Call of Duty: Finest Hour, I watched it everythime I loaded the game up on the old PS2. I also agree with MGS, not only great opening movie, but all the cut scenes in each gane.

One of my other faovrites is from Shadow of the Colossus. When you see the main character traveling over this huge bridge into the forbidden land, its pure beauty.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Just the song and everything got me into everytime. Favorite game of the series. Plus I <3 Rage against the machine.

Conflict: Vietnam

This is a trailer for the game not the intro. It does have the right song (Painted it black) and some of the intro footage mixed with real game play. I can't find the real intro anywhere.

Best Opening - Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (PS2)

Best Ending - Not sure, but I'll throw down a Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast) and Halo 2 (Xbox).

oh man. hands down the original intro to sonic adventure. i remember i had a dreamcast right when it came out, and this video was the best cgi i had ever seen on a video game. but of course, i was only in second grade. still i love this intro.
