I agree with it being over exaggerated.
Driving a truck on ice is bad, but there's only a few things that can go wrong aside from what normally can go wrong with driving a truck. The ice breaks and they drown, they skid off into a snow filled ditch, how bad can it be?
Crabbers have falling ice, boats rotating over, thousand of pounds of steel to climb up, potential for death is a given with everything they do, life on a boat is full of variables for them.
I watched the ice truckers thing up until the guy hit cruise and got in the back to get a coffee, that just did it for me right there in knowing it would be more dangerous to do that on a highway never-mind ice. They make it bad for themselves with their own stupidity.
I love deadliest catch and this show is similar, but they are making it out to be something its not.
