PS3 screen problem

The line moves like on a VCR tape with bad tracking. Is this common with PS3 or other systems?

Mine started doing that a while ago but I assume that my brother changed the settings. I think that it's because of a difference in refresh rates or something. I figure the best way to solve the problem is to ignore it and wait for someone else to fix it. A real man can't be bothered to fix problems like that.

mine used to do that but then i started turning the PS3 off at night and the problem doesnt happen anymore

i was afraid that it was overheating like i almost threw up cause i thought i just toasted the engine
