Well (expletive)...

My PC is wigging out right and left. It seems that it has something to do with my keyboard port as everytime I hit a button on my keyboard the computer makes the noise that computers make when they lockup (that beep type noise that actually is sounded in the tower) and the computer in fact, locks up. I have to turn the power button off, and let it sit then turn it on. Sometimes I can log in and use it, but after awhile i hit a button and voila, it locks up. On the offchance it doesn't lock up, the keyboard will seemingly turn off or stop working, becuase the keys won't do anything. When this happens the num lock light that is normally on is off. SO i unplug and plug it in, yada yada yada, thats basically it.

Now, does ANYBODY know wtf could be the problem?

Do you have a spare keyboard laying around somewhere that you can plug in and see if it works fine?

I'd try that first, see what happens, then go from there..sounds weird though, I've never heard of something like that before.

PS3 ID : Dead-Weight

Is it a regular PS/2 keyboard or a USB?

Sounds like it might be sticky keys to me.....

But that wouldn't lock up your computer. Pess shift a bunch real fast anyways, see if they're on.

The thing is, my other keyboard i had been using (wireless) started to not work, so i figured it and my mouse had somehow got ****ed up, and I plugging in the old eMachines one that came with the PC. And now its how it is.

I'll give that a shot, but like you said it shouldn't have locked up the computer.

EDIT: I can't even log on, becuase thanks to my arsehole friends I use a password, and when I try to type it in it locks up like before. Gay.

Well the computer is back to not turning on, so i opened it up and unplugged stuff and plugged it back in (like the guy that fixed it last time said he did) and it still is crap. **** the world.

BTW, what is the point of making it say "expletive" instead of the four stars? The swear filter is there for a reason, its jsut ****ing stupid and annoying to change that when you could be doing some sort of constructive modding.

Yeah i also have a laptop, but i really miss having a PC. I'm probably going to get a new tower, just some generic one, and take the ram from the old and put it and stuff like that. Problem is, I need a job first.
