The bias against PS3

Why are people so quick to believe whatever fraudulent news of the PS3's supposed impending demise? Why do so many people blindly hate it? The root of the problem lies in fanboyism.

Probably because of the price... And maybe a tad of jealousy. Deep down inside they really want one.

I only have a problem with the price tag on the beast... that's my number 1 gripe. I can't deny the fact that I want one... but since I have an Xbox 360, I don't feel an URGENT need to purchase one at this moment.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the fact that they don't have any exclusive games that I want at the moment helps my desire to not want one right now.

I love the support Sony when there's a fanboy arguement, and I enjoy bashing Xbox to death, but I've got a 360, and don't have a PS3...so it's all good.

Which is more interesting. Sure, the PS3 can be a computer, surf the web, etc. etc., but! Even more interesting, it doesn't have very good games!

People take the bad news about the PS3 more seriously then the 360. If someone has a hardware problem with their PS3, the xbox fanboys will hop right on it and say its a peice of crap, they break like crazy! Look at how much **** was caused when the PS3 in that LITTLE CASE stopped working at TGS 06. Just because of that one incident, along with the employees at a store overheating the PS3 there, all of a sudden, THE WHOLE LAUNCH SHIPMENT WAS DEFECTIVE, OHHHH NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's all ********.

Also, the price point for the PS3 for some reason make people hate the console (You would think they would hate the PRICE, but, no, some people have to HATE THE CONSOLE, because it is 600 dollars, makes no sense!), even though it is well worth over 600. Most of the people that are complaining are the kids that cant get their parents to pay 600 dollars for a console for them. Or the people that already have a 360, and dont want to spend 600 on another console.

When there are hardware problems with the 360, everyone kinda ignores them because it is is extremely common nowadays that no one really cares anymore, they are all used to it! There is probably 1 faulty PS3 to 3000 Faulty 360s >_>.

It is funny going to large gaming forums, Gametrailers as an example. Go to the PS3 board, and it seems like 1 person has a problem, within 5 pages of threads. Go to the 360 board, every 3rd thread is MY 360 BROKE, WHAT IS WRONG, MY 360 MAKES WIERD NOISES, MY DISCS GOT SCRATCHED, 3 RED LIGHTS!!!!. So on and so forth.

And the thing is that is really doesn't overheat. You have to play it for a long long long time. It gets warm, and sort of hot but the PS3 can handle it and controls the heat very well. The only overheating issue I have even heard of was at TGS and Store displays when they were in small enclosed areas.

The 360 has the true overheating problem. Even though it doesn't get extremely hot, it is hot enough to mess up some of the components inside. And a good amount of hardware failures are due to overheating.

The PS3 does do that.....so......yeah.
Can't really complain on either side about somebody curing diseases.
