Yeah you win if you spawn camp. Since when is winning a respawn a big deal? I play for practice when i get rusty, i couldn't care less if my team wins or not. Also, usually the ones that spawn camp are the ones that suck. When i get out of the spawn, if im getting spawn camped, i usually end up killing them all.

I play mostly respawn rooms because I find them more fun.

Of course they win! If they were losing, they wouldn't be able to spawn camp.

I honestly hate spawn camping, but truth be told it can be funny for a second! I've seen guys leave rooms on Retaliation and KF because they are the one unlucky one who spawns in an area where snipers can just sit there and pickem off as they spawn. Personally, I think that is a design flaw, SOCOM 4 needs like a 3 second spawn invincibilty like SWBF2 does, that pretty much eliminates the problem all together, but they should atleast make sure the spawn points are not in the open where snipers can get you as you spawn from across the map like in Retaliation..

My theory on spawn camping is rush the spawn for a second, kill them all as they spawn once, then pull back, because it simply isn't fun, but you have proven your point! I get annoyed on Killing Fields small when people stay in the SEALs spawn camping, the SEALS just all leave and then you have no game! Gee thanks guys, now we have no one to shoot besides each other!

Spawn camping seems to basically have become one of those things in public rooms you can't do anything about unless you got friendly fire on, but I hate Tking too, so what do you do. It seems to be considered a legitimate tactic these days. Best thing you can do when making a respawn room is make them 10 minute rounds. Gives the enemy a chance to regroup and protect their spawn.

As many of you know, I am a camper, I love to snipe, but due to spawn camping I find myself spedning a lot of time in my own spawn protecting it from spawn camping, which can get really boring.

Hmm, must've been a slow news day. I say not to spawn camp... Not because it's 'ethically wrong,' cheap, or because you'll have to hear the other team whine about it in the lobby afterward... But because it simply isn't any fun. A good team never has to spawn camp to win and doesn't usually have to worry about it happening to them, either.

Respawn is fun, and I think everyone does a little spawn camping now and then. The trick is knowing when enough is enough. Sometimes I'll make a run through the spawn, wipe out a few and then back off. Sometimes I pay for it, sometimes I don't. But I refuse to sit and wait for people to spawn, its just kinda cheap to me. It might be cool to rack up the kills at first, but if you think about it, they don't really count for anything, so why do it?

i agree that it is a strategy. no matter what you do in socom, whether its rushing, camping, qs-ing... its still a strategy. just some strategies take more skills than others. spawn camping, doesnt take much skill.
