Alot of people in the industry have been saying things like this... and I tend to agree. It's now starting to show that one single console will probably not "dominate" in the same sense that the PS2 did years ago.
The PS2 proved in the last generation that
games made the system take off, and not its raw processing power... because let's face it, the Xbox was the higher powered console, and it still couldn't surpass the sales lead that the PS2 held over all of the other consoles.
And in my opinion, the Dreamcast wasn't such a horrible console... Sega just didn't have a good marketing technique, or third party software support... reminds me very much of what happened with the GameCube's "slide from grace".
