How is it a waste of time? It's one of the most original gags made by Family Guy. Which is why they keep it going. Family Guy has enough reputation and respect that it can afford to put this in every so often.

I love it when both Peter and the Chicken beat the crap out of the alligator and then the Chicken uses the dead body to hit Peter.

EDIT: Oh my God, I cracked up at this part:

Construction worker 1: "My son got into DeVry."
Construction worker 2: "What he have to do? Open the door?"
Construction worker 1: "Gosh can't you let me have a little pride?"

i was watching this episode sunday and it wasted alot of time out of what was a funny episode

the only funny part during this was the snake on the plane

Some times the reacurring jokes are funny, but sometimes it just gets old. Like when Brian threw the rock at the Lois's brother but hit Peter instead and said, "Thats for rolling up the window on the General Lee". It was funny because it was obscure and was a reference to a pretty old episode, but it also didn't take up half the episode (like the chicken fights).

I agree its funny that they continued that joke with the Chicken, but it could have really been be shorter. One thing I am glad about is they killed off those Vaudville guys, there was absolutley nothing funny about them.

Although the chicken scenes arent exactly good, I think this one is the best by far.

It brings old episodes into play again which is what makes Family Guy what it is.

If it wasn't for hilarious flashbacks, random cutscenes, and re-occurring jokes, it would be just the Simpsons.

true. i just like how it comes up when youre not expecting it. this one and the last one were perfectly placed in the episode, in the middle of a serious conversation.
